What to Do When You Only Have One Day in Cebu?

Spending just one day in a new destination sounds very bitin for how else will you be able to explore a new place when you only have 24 hours to do that? Even worse is when you go to a place like Cebu, for example. The city itself is already teeming with activities, how will you find the time to explore the island from north to south?

If you ever decide to go on a quick trip, be sure to book yourself a Cebu Day Tour package. This ensures that you go from one destination to another as quickly as possible without having to worry about transportation, tour guides and so on. There are plenty of Cebu tour packages so make sure to shop around first before settling for one.

Among the most popular day tours around Cebu is one that involves going around the historical places around the city center. If checking out museums, churches or old houses is your thing, definitely add this in your itinerary.

However, if you are looking for more fun, one activity that you might consider doing is a tour in Oslob, Cebu. If you have no idea where it is and why it is highly recommended, it is because the Oslob whale watching activity is one of the reasons why tourists visit this place in the southern area of Cebu.

Whale watching typically lasts for an hour or so, which means that you have plenty of time to do other things nearby. One recommended activity is to visit the Sumilon Island sandbar which you can visit from Oslob within a few minutes.

If you are feeling rather adventurous, you might also want to add a canyoneering Cebu package in your itinerary. This activity involves jumping, climbing and swimming in the waters of Cebu’s mountainous areas and ends with a refreshing dip in Kawasan Falls.

If you would rather not want to get wet, you can also ride from Oslob to Osmena Peak to Kawasan (it is also possible to go on a traverse hike but it will usually take around four hours or more). If you want to explore more falls after Kawasan, there is also an option to visit Aguinid Falls in Samboan.

Now, visiting the southern portion of Cebu can already eat up a lot of travel time. In order to conserve the limited time, why not opt for a quick tour in the neighboring islands instead? Cebu boasts of beautiful beaches which is why a Pandanon Island hopping package and a Nalusuan Island tour package are very popular among tourists, foreign and local alike.

Those who have a few more hours to spare can even go on a Cebu to Bohol tour – one extra day should already suffice.

As you can see, Cebu has plenty to offer whether you are up for a city excursion, a trip to the beach or a hike to the mountains. Just make sure to plan out your itinerary carefully and, of course, only go for a trusted Cebu travel and tours agency.

Happy trip!
